Privacy
This site uses no cookies, doesn’t track you across the web, and doesn’t build a profile of you.
Richard Peall is responsible for this website and for any information collected through it. This page explains what that information is and how it is handled under UK GDPR.
Visitor statistics
To see how many people visit and which pages they read, this site uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
For each visit it records only anonymous totals:
- the page visited and the site you arrived from
- your browser, operating system and screen width
- your country and language
To avoid counting the same visit twice, GoatCounter briefly holds your IP address and browser details in memory for up to eight hours. They are never saved, and the stored figures cannot be traced back to you. The statistics are kept on servers in the EU (Finland and Germany) and are not shared with anyone. This is done on the basis of legitimate interests: knowing, in general terms, how the site is used.
Contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, your name, email address, reason for contact and message are delivered by Formspree and used only to reply to you. They are never added to a mailing list, shared for marketing or sold. The full notice is under the form.
Hosting and fonts
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. Its fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser downloads them. Neither is used by this site to identify or track you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete any information held about you by sending a request through the contact form. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
